This year is flying by in a blur of activity. Business is buzzing again and online seems to be the most talked about way of increasing sales for any wholesale or retail business, which is great! I think our fact for the month says it all.
Now, welcome to our very first XSQUIZZIT online newsletter. We have designed this so we can communicate with our customers bi-monthly. We aim to let you know what we’re doing, what we’re releasing and how it will help your business. We wanted to add some fun stuff to read too, because we think e-commerce is fun!
In 2010 we have already published our first advertisement in Voyeur Magazine (Virgin In-flight Magazine), changed our website and branding, and begun launching our e-marketing module. Over the past 6 months, we have invested into expanding our server resources and our Service Team have reoriented your site to improve speed, reliability and redundancy. In RnD we’re working on a more accessible interface allowing our clients to tap in to the gamut of technology we offer. (We’ll keep you updated!)
We’ve also started our own Public Relations department, who will be writing an article on one of our valued clients bi-monthly and placing their story on our website. We hope to be promoting you soon and getting your feedback on what we’re doing - right or wrong. We see our customers as our most important assets!
Have a great month, and if you can, come and see me speak at ABITE at The Sydney Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour. It’s an honour to be amongst the speakers at this established expo, held on 28th and 29th April – details below.
Glenn Drew, Managing Director
Andrew started his career as a Rental Service Officer with Thrifty Car Rentals and after a few years joined the Victorian Police Force, as a General Duties Uniform
Constable. After two years in the Force he moved on to complete his Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia) and a Diploma in IT.
In March 2009, Andrew joined the Xsquizzit team as the Customer Service Coordinator. After building a strong knowledge base of the Xsquizzit Technology, he moved into the role of Systems Operations Manager in December 2009. Andrew is working on improving the Data Centre Hardware Infrastructure and Systems Administration technology & processes. He is also investigating dedicated Virtual Servers for our clients as a premium option.
While no longer the front man on the phones and email, Andrew provides valuable 2nd Level Support to multiple departments at Xsquizzit. Andrew has enjoyed mentoring and been particularly happy with the development of our new Customer Service Coordinator, Gary Madabi.
Andrew is lucky enough to be married to a wonderful wife who also works in the city of Melbourne. Once a keen competitive basketballer, he now enjoys the occasional social game and loves watching the NBA on One HD; yes, he can ‘Slam Dunk’.
XSQUIZZIT is in the process of scoping out the new e-marketing module. This module is designed to link seamlessly with the XSQUIZZIT technology, designed in 3 stages, it allows customers to only purchase the stages they need.
Stage 1: e-media, communicating with your clients.
You will be able to access your user list from your online store, have a custom designed template to send your
messages and stats are created from the filter list allowing you to measure the success of the campaign. This module will be ready in May 2010.
Stage 2 = Campaigns and Deals
This is a unique system that will allow you to have multiple campaigns running at once and to be able to track all the data from them, including hits and sales stats allowing you to monitor the progress and performance of each
campaign. This module will be ready in July 2010.
Stage 3 = e-Rewards and e-Vouchers
Set up reward and voucher systems and an online redemption process. The Rewards and Voucher facility allows the client to reward customers based on their spend (reward points) or a nominated dollar value (voucher). Rewards and Vouchers can be redeemed on-line strengthening your e-relationship and developing loyalty. This module will be ready in Oct 2010.
Client Review
Link International
Link International is an importer and distributor of quality after market motor cycle parts and accessories. Situated in beautiful Yatala, along the south Queensland coast, Link Int deal with client’s right across Australia with several state based agents.
Link International has outgrown 3 buildings in 9 years and is looking to the new frontier of online trading to stay number 1 in their field. Completely overhauling their existing site, Link Int’s drive behind taking their business online is the ability to advance their retailers and potential customers experience with their vast product catalogue via multimedia, user-friendly interface, and allowing dealers to browse products and check prices online.
Link International understands the significant strategic advantage of taking their business online and XSQUIZZIT are excited to be helping them in their online journey!
XSQUIZZIT placed their very first advertisement in Voyeur Magazine (the Virgin In-Flight Magazine) this February 2010. The full page ad appeared in the business section of the Magazine, on a right hand page for visibility and impact.
We were appealing to MD’s or decision makers who were
travelling on business and would read Voyeur during their flight. We wanted to appeal to a wide range of businesses, with or without websites, integration knowledge and ecommerce experience.
As our first venture into the big wide world of advertising, it was a great learning curve, with some interesting (and great) results. Our web hits increased by 55% (from February 2009) and that’s unique visitors! We also had a wide range of
businesses from small to large enquiring about our products.
Like all first campaigns, we learnt a lot about ourselves as a company and where we want to head. We thank all the businesses that gave us feedback about the ad and thank you for your professional advice. We look forward to many more successful advertising campaigns in the future.
Glenn Drew will soon be speaking at the upcoming Sydney ABITE EXPO on the topic ‘Breaking eCommerce Down To The Very Basics’. You can see him there on the 28th and 29th of April at 11:30am to midday with Q&A time on both days.
