Picking Slips Are Automatically Generated

When an online order is submitted in the Live eCommerce online store, the web order is automatically posted into your Accounting/Distribution system as a picking slip/order.  The order itself is applied to the customer account that the web user is assigned to.

By default, the Online Store does not automatically print web orders to the warehouse but this feature can be turned on if your web orders do not need to be verified by your customer service personnel.

Reduce the Frequency of Back Orders

Stock Indicators

The Live eCommerce Online Store can reduce the number of back orders posted to your warehouse by showing iconic stock indicators in search listings and performing a Live stock check when a web user adds products to their shopping cart.

If configured, the back order check displays a 'warn or block' notification when the quantity entered exceeds the free stock figure queried Live at that point in time.

Reduce Data Entry of Orders

Posting the orders Live into your Accounting/Distribution software means that your customer service or dispatch personnel do not need to manually key in web orders.

This saves time and avoids mistakes caused by keying errors thus putting the onus back on the customer if they submitted an incorrect order.  Consequently, this reduces picking errors and ensures customers receive what they ordered.

Delivery Comments Are Embedded On Picking Slips

During the checkout process, the Online Store offers customers the option of providing instructions with their order. These instructions are posted with the Web Order submitted into your accounting/distribution system and are often used by the customer to communicate delivery and handling instructions to your dispatch team.

Web order instructions can also be configured to print on the invoice that is shipped with the goods.  This means that customers may also use the instruction field for their own purposes when the invoice arrives with the goods.

Drop Shipment Option

Your customers can request a web order be drop shipped to their customer.  In the most cases, this means that you send the invoice to your customer and dispatch the goods to their customer.

If enabled, the Online Store drop shipment option can do just that.  Once posted, drop shipment web orders are flagged and the delivery address of your customer's customer is set in the Ship To fields.  There are many different ways drop shipment can configured.  Contact us to learn more.

Mirrors Large Inventories of Over 100,000 Items

The Online Store links all inventory items to those stored in the Accounting/Distribution system.  Each night, an automated inventory update routine mirrors your inventory file into the Online Store.  There is virtually no limit to the number of products that can be stored in the Online Store.

The Live shopping cart persistence feature ensures that shopping carts remain up-to-date whenever a web user logs on.  This means that web orders contain valid inventory items and pricing when they are posted.

Calculates Freight Automatically

Automatic Calculation of Freight

The Online Store provides a highly flexible freight rule calculator that you manage yourself. As each freight rule is processed, the freight fee accumulates and is posted with the web order. This relieves dispatch from the duty of calculating freight once the order is received.
